I so appreciate the outstanding number of singers last Sunday for both services! Well done! Great group at 8:15 and almost a full loft at 11:00. Let’s do it 2 more times to make a full loft both services for the month.

I hope you are gearing up for the Getty’s this Friday. We can use several of you this Friday morning to load in the Gettys BUT WE NEED ABOUT 20 FOLKS TO STICK AROUND Friday NIGHT TO LOAD THEM OUT AND SET US BACK UP FOR Sunday. PLEASE SIGN UP ON THE LIST or CALL (302-3006, desk phone) or EMAIL CINDY (cwallace@qsbc.org) YOUR PREFERENCE. Guys and girls welcome. Orchestra chairs and stands, trap set, keyboards, piano, etc all need to be positioned.

This Sunday night is our Christmas Homecoming (meet Sun aft @ 4:30). This is the same kind of “Gaither style” sing along that we have done in the past, led by you…the QSBC Choir and Orchestra. You guys will sing a couple of specials including A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER from the CD project last year. You might give it a listen between now and then. (meet Sun aft @ 4:30) The other songs will be familiar Christmas songs and carols. ”DRESS REHEARSAL” will be
this Wednesday at 6:30 in the Worship Center. I need all hands on deck for this evening presentation! (meet Sun aft @ 4:30) These Homecomings are some of the favorite evenings of our church family. I’m counting on you to make His praise glorious once again.

Following the Homecoming service, we meet up in the café for our Christmas party. Go get your children from the childcare area and bring ‘em along. No extended childcare for this party. Also, remember your requested food or drink item. MMMMMMMM GOOD!

If you are getting this letter on Thursday or later…all info is still for you. If the mail is slow to your box, there is still a HUGE invitation for you to come Sunday night. All music for Homecoming is singable and prepared for your ease. You know how
important you are to filling the loft. Thanks for planning to be present with or without the run through Wed night . You have done this before and you can do it again!

Bless you all and know that my Christmas season is always richer because of the opportunity to spend it with each of you!!!

Bro. James

Kate Downing: It was an amazing experience coming together as one voice to sing praises to our Lord and King—the only reason for the Christmas [...]

Kate Downing: It was an amazing experience coming together as one voice to sing praises to our Lord and King—the only reason for the Christmas season.

Becky Cole: I was exhausted, but it was the most exciting and uplifting thing I have ever been involved in.

This experience made us, as a choir, really listen to each other!!

Reba Buckley: What a blessing and experience to sing this music!

Dolores Littleton: It’s hard to believe the soloists were not professional.

Kerri Horton: The recording process really brought out our best. It was the perfect vehicle for the Holy Spirit to do His work!

L. Schoenhals: A blessing to be a part of this presentation—a fun time and no stress atmosphere!

I have a new appreciation for professional recording artists.

S. Stewart: A worshipful, unifying experience.

Brad Biddy: One of the most grueling challenges I have ever faced. The reward was even bigger than the task. It was amazing to watch God work in His people.

Amy Harrell: The recording project was not just a project. It was a glorious time of worship in which a multitude of voices brought glory, honor, and praise to an audience of ONE, our Holy Father!

Crystal Keene: There really is nothing like a choir of voices making a joyful noise unto the Lord. As wonderful as it is to pack the pews, it was awesome singing for an audience of one. Thank You, Lord, for your presence at our recording sessions.

Darlene Stine: From the beginning of rehearsals I didn’t see how we (I) could do justice to some of the selections for this CD, but as we continued to rehearse the music really pulled at my heart. Then, the recording sessions became inspirational as we gave all we had to our Lord. I had hoped this CD would be a blessing to all who might hear, but more than that, I was filled with God’s message and blessed beyond belief. James, thanks for stretching us to do our best. I will forever remember what fun we had putting this together.
