Day 1 001

Well, here we are settling in for a relatively short drive to Amarillo.  Believe it or not, we made it with only ONE stop.  But you better believe we made an impression with our first audience.  Before we got back on the bus we sang “America, the Beautiful” and “Psalm 91″ for the attendant.  Although we chuckled at her remark that we didn’t seem to know the second song as well as the first, our singing was met with a smile and sincere appreciation.

Day 1 002

Everytime we do get back on the bus, Casea is waiting to give us a “pump” of the hand cleaner.  So, parents, rest assured we’re doing everything in our power to keep everyone healthy.

Day 1 005

A beautiful sight!  At least we know they’ll be two good nights of sleep.

The anticipation level for this trip is high since we’ve already seen God’s hand at work.  In the morning, South Georgia Street Baptist Church is serving breakfast for us, then about 10 of their youth will spend the day with us as we help jumpstart their youth choir ministry.

So you can see the scope of our ministry does not end with a simple concert on the road, but we trust it will continue to reap a fruitful harvest in Amarillo and beyond long after we’re gone.  Thank you, Church family for all you have done to make this trip possible.

For all this is because of you, so that grace, extended through more and more people, may cause thanksgiving to overflow to God’s glory.  (2 Corinthians 4:15)
